The pick 'em race is close in the early going, but much like many NBA games, there will be runs made, errors committed, and leads gained and lost. It's a long season, boys; let's enjoy it.

Cavaliers look like they're gaining their balance after their early season stumbles. Hornets don't look like much, but they did give Celtics a game. Cleveland by 12.

76ers with #1 pick Fultz face the Lakers with #2 pick Ball. Will #2 try harder? Los Angeles (purple and gold) by 6.

Warriors vs Celtics. The local diehards say this is a preview of the finals. Long way to go before that, but I will be there to enjoy it. The Boston winning streak ends. Golden State by 11.

Houston is at or near the top of the power rankings; Suns are closer to the bottom and getting worse. Houston by 16. SLAM

Thunder vs Spurs looks like a great matchup. Tough one to predict, but Spurs are still banged up. Oklahoma City by 9.

Pelicans have surprised me a little bit this season, but Nuggets play tough at home. The twin towers will prevail. New Orleans by 8.

I picked Warriors to win by 11, and in the 3rd quarter I thought it might be more. Never have I been so happy to miss on a pick. At the beginning of the game, every seat was filled; at the end of the game, none were. The crowd was on its feet, the noise was deafening, and the ending was special. If you stand outside the TD Garden after a game, you can tell the outcome just by listening to the fans. Tonight they were yelling, screaming, and chanting "Let's go Celtics". That's a sure sign of a big win over a very good team. Nights like this are the reason I have season tickets.
